Mischa Palmer

Mischa, being a native of Lake Murray, has spent her life on the lake but also enjoys snowboarding, playing guitar, and playing banjo in her spare time. She was exposed to veterinary medicine at a very young age and has a Miniature Australian Shepherd named Brenda. Having grown up with veterinarians nearby and working in the veterinary field for the past 6 years while in high school and college has given her the passion for the profession and desire to further her education in the veterinary field. Mischa attended Clemson University and obtained her Bachelor of Science in Animal and Veterinary Sciences in December 2013. During her studies she was able to study abroad in Paris and Normandy at the young age of 19 years. While on break she spent two weeks in Grenada, and at St. George’s University Veterinary Medicine program to check into the veterinary school available overseas. While in college at Clemson Mischa showed dairy cattle and was on the poultry show team. She has a passion for all animals and this is shown in the multitude of animal related experiences: raised a prairie dog, has a crawfish named, Mr Crabs, and also has turtles. She completed an internship with Carolina Wildlife and there saw opossums, migratory birds, owls, rabbits, box and painted turtles, squirrels, and many more.
